Welcome to the
Los Angeles Rescue Dog Adoption site.

This site was designed so you can have an easily accessible list of the dog rescue and adoption organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Sometimes when you're searching for a dog, you fall in love with one and may be disappointed when you find out that it's not in the LA area, so you can't see it personally. If you meet the dog before you take him or her into your home, you may find out that it is the dog of your dreams -- or you may discover that it has some quirks that you don't like. It's a lot easier emotionally on both the dogs and the people if you find the right match.

We don't list any dogs here but provide you information on the organizations that do as well as information on choosing a dog, supplies, what to expect the first few days, and a lot more. You'll find a list of breed-related rescues as well as city shelters and other dog rescue sites. We also stress the importance of training and offer a discount on our training programs.

If you know of a rescue group that should be listed here, please contact us and let us know. Similarly, some rescue groups are less than reputable. If you know of one that is run by an animal hoarder and/or abuser or has has had complaints against it, please let us know that, too, so we can remove their name. We want dogs to be adopted from caring people with the dog's welfare as their paramount interest.

You can help The Animal Rescue Site by clicking on the link below
so they can meet their daily quota of getting
donated every day to abused and neglected dogs.
It takes about 15 seconds to go to their site and click on the purple box
'fund food for animals for free'.
This doesn't cost you a thing.
